Kim Soo-geun was born in South Korea and has been living and working in Paris in recent years. She published some short comics in 2010. In 2012, her first autobiographical graphic novel comic was published in Éditions Sarbacane publishing house. She later translated and published the graphic novel “Father’s Song” based on the time of the Jeju Massacre in 1948 in Korean history. She also wrote and authored “Baby Hanyeo Okrang to Dokdo”, “A Day with My Grandpa” and “My Mother Jiang Geumsong”. Since 2012, she has held several exhibitions of works in South Korea and Europe, and translated many Korean comics into French for publication in Europe. Her short comic “Comfort Women” won the Best Creative Comic Award.
